Chapter 29

Proverbs 29 (Kent)

"Many seek the ruler's favor, but justice for man comes from the Lord." Proverbs 29:26

Here we are reminded that whoever we may be dealing with and whatever their authority over us may be, God is in control and is able to direct the outcome in our favor at His pleasure. While we must deal with people, we should always remember to make our petitions known to the Lord and.. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your on understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

On the subject of justice the account of the persistent widow comes to mind as related in Luke 18:1-5. The point there being to always be in prayer and not lose heart. At times we may feel like the "elect who cry out day and night" Luke 18:7 but we know our trials come to strengthen and perfect us.

"...It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him." 1 Samuel 3:18 Amen

Have a great week! Smiley emoticon
